Scope

SafeHire, a trademark of Puffle Software Solutions Pvt Ltd, hereafter "Puffle" is dedicated to protect your information and will make every possible effort to handle and safeguard your information appropriately. The Privacy Policy, hereafter "Policy", describes how SafeHire ("SafeHire” or "Puffle" or "we" or "our") treats Information collected or provided in connection with an end user’s (“candidate” or “employee” or “client”) use of SafeHire products and background screening services (the “Services “). This privacy statement covers the data collected by SafeHire.

By accessing, using or by providing data directly to SafeHire you accept and agree to SafeHire’s Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting privacy and information provided by end users to enable SafeHire to complete its Services. This Privacy Policy sets forth SafeHire policy with respect to Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”), Sensitive Personal Information ("SPI"), High risk, special category data and certain other information that is collected from users having access to the SafeHire web portal (the "WebApp"). 

This Policy has been drafted in accordance with the provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Rules thereunder, including, without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, the Information Technology “Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal data or information” Rules 2011. Your use of and interaction with the WebApp constitutes your unconditional acceptance of the practices described in this privacy policy, as they may be modified from time to time. If you do not agree with and accept all of the practices described in this privacy policy, you may refrain from using the WebApp.

By providing information to the WebApp, you hereby provide consent to save the candidate's personal and professional information. Also, you admit that you have collected consent letter from the employee to upload the information to the WebApp.

SafeHire will be unable to proceed with the provision of services to Clients in the absence of necessary permissions or consent from the individual subject to the background check.

Policy Changes

We reserve the right to modify SafeHire’s privacy policy at any time which will be published on our website If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will notify the same by means of a notice on our home page. By continuing to use our service after notice of changes have been published on the website, the Client is deemed to be consenting to the changes.

Information that we collect
Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

Personally Identifiable information, is the information that can identify the candidate. We will collect candidate's:

  1. Full Name
  2. Mobile Number
  3. Current Address
  4. Permanent Address
  5. Aadhar Number
  6. PAN
  7. Date of Birth
  8. E-Mail Id
  9. Employment History
  10. Education History

SafeHire does not collect information without candidate's consent. SafeHire collects the information only to complete its services.

How do we collect information?

Any HR of the company (SafeHire's client) or the candidate himself shall upload the data to SafeHire portal. Before uploading the data to the portal, candidate must provide consent letter to the company HR.

Information sharing outside SafeHire

SafeHire does not share any Personally Identifiable Information of any candidate outside of SafeHire in following scenario:

For legal reasons
We will share Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) & Sensitive Personal Information ("SPI") /data with companies, organizations or individuals outside of SafeHire if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:

• Meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
• Enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
• Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
• Protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of SafeHire, our users or the public as required or permitted by law.

General Exceptions

If we are required to intercept, disclose, monitor and/or store client Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) & Sensitive Personal Information ("SPI"):

• by law;
• to conduct our business;
• to secure our systems; or
• to enforce our own rights, we will do so in the manner as prescribed by law.
• National security.

Such interception, disclosure, monitoring and storage may take place. In that case, we will not be liable for any third party damages howsoever arising from such interception, disclosure, monitoring and storage. In order to ensure that all our users comply with the User Agreement or Terms of Use of the SafeHire platform or application, we may monitor Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) & Sensitive Personal Information ("SPI") to the extent that this may be required to determine compliance and/or to identify instances of non-compliance. To ensure that the security and integrity of our Services is safeguarded, we may monitor Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) & Sensitive Personal Information ("SPI"). This monitoring may include (without limitation) the filtering of incoming and outgoing electronic data messages to identify, limit and/or prevent the transmission of spam, viruses and/or unlawful, defamatory, obscene or otherwise undesirable material or content. We may under certain circumstances procure an element of the Services from a third party service provider. To the extent that it may be necessary, and solely for the purposes of providing the Service to client, Client are deemed to be in agreement of disclosure to such third party of their Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) & Sensitive Personal Information ("SPI") that may be necessary for the procurement of services from the third party.

HR of the client should promptly update the missing information of the candidate. Update in information include :

  • Permanent Address
  • Add Educational History
  • Add Employment History
